Learn By Doing

The FDU Way

Learn By Doing

"Learning by doing” has long been part of FDU’s way of preparing students for success. That means having opportunities to do lab work, field work, mentorships, internships, study abroad, networking with industry experts and more — on campus, off campus or virtually.

At FDU, you will go from talking about your passions, to experiencing them. Join our nursing students in clinicals at more than 50 partner institutions as early as your first year. Complete a variety of diverse student-teacher experiences in the 4+1 QUEST program. Hustle through the three 400-hour work experiences required by the International School of Hospitality, Sports, & Tourism Management. Run your own radio program on WFDU 89.1 FM. Compete to build the best concrete canoe, or win a 24-hour programming competition alongside engineering experts. Network with industry leaders in the Professional Development Program. Attend visitation briefings and life changing lectures at the United Nations, or connect with global ambassadors right on campus.

Whatever you go after, we have the experiences you need to excel at FDU and beyond!
