School of Psychology and Counseling

A degree in psychology opens doors to many careers. Psychology is currently the second most popular undergraduate major nationwide. Psychology majors develop strong research, writing and problem-solving skills, and hone their ability to analyze, synthesize and evaluate information.

These skills lead to employment opportunities in wide-ranging fields, including public affairs, education, business, human resources, sales, service industries, healthcare, the biological sciences and computer programming. Graduates are employed as employment counselors, correction counselor trainees, interviewers, personnel analysts, probation officers and writers.
