Welcome to FDU and to Gildart Haase School of Computer Sciences and Engineering. My name is Mark Robertson, and I'm the Coordinator for Student Outreach and Career Development, and I'm your Career Counselor in-house. So welcome to our undergraduate program. We're located only on the Metro Campus in Teaneck, New Jersey. We're a national leader in cybersecurity and certified as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education by NSA and the Department of Homeland Security. And we offer 11 undergraduate programs. Many of them are ABET-accredited. Look that up-- ABET-accredited, and those majors include civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and engineering technologies, as well as applied mathematics, pharmaceutical biostatistics, and much more. Our ABET-accredited computer science and it programs have concentrations in cybersecurity and information assurance, forensics, big data analytics, video game and mobile application development, web development, and our students enjoy seven money-saving five-year BS-MS programs. That's right! Seven opportunities to get your master's degree with just one more year in school. We have 18 state-of-the-art labs. And those labs are designed for hands-on experiences. We have turned internships and co-ops with top corporations like UPS, PSCG, Teledyne Technologies, Apple-- and students receive executive mentoring and career-building experiences in our small engineering professional organizations here, whether it's MCAAEEE, these professional organizations give you the chance to build your resume and competitions and committees with other up and coming engineers. And we these engineering organizations support us whether it's the Society of Women Engineers, Mechanical Contractors Association of America, they spend money on us they invest in us. There also study abroad opportunities. Not only does FDU have abroad campuses in general, but Gildart Haase specifically, has a campus in Vancouver. And we have global partnerships, and some new ones developing right now that will allow you to study abroad in China potentially and in the Middle East. Our professors-- our faculty, by the way, are distinguished in industry over 10-, 20-, 30 years in industry, and over 36 patents among our professors! So we provide the most personalized support of any engineering school: small class sizes, easy access to your professors, state of the art labs. One of the things that makes us special is our personalized approach. We have small class sizes averaging 15 students per class and open-door access to your professors. That's right! Only professors teach classes no TAs-- with free tutoring day and evening. Whatever you need-- if you're willing to do the work, launch your career with the support to succeed and visit FDU.edu and search for the Gildart Haase School.
